PROJECT PERFORMANCE
Cosmic Fischer Locks took over the project from a failed start by a previous locksmith. We reassessed the needs of the facility and suggested a Schlage product (Primus Everest) with a zip-code limited keyway. This provided the client guaranteed control over the specific keyway, with all blanks, cores, and cylinders shipped directly to them, and never to the locksmith. It also completely restricted key-duplication without two-factor authorization from executive management. We designed a four-level master key system with additional direct codes to control access by required operational verticals. All cylinders were ordered factory combinated and installed with minimal disruption to existing operations. Many of the doors required adjustments as field conditions changed from the initial inspection period. CFL’s door technician teams were on backup with access to our rich stock of door closers, panic exit devices, locksets and trims, all installed at as needed in coordination with our onsite master locksmith.
CLIENT ADVANTAGE
Through our successful installation, the client eliminated hundreds of keys from their facility operations team, many of which didn’t work anywhere. We provided a coded system, with all keys stamped for easy reading. Instead of spending 5 minutes searching for a key, doors were opened by a single key, as needed by individual staff members. Additionally, the client benefited from Cosmic Fischer’s close proximity to the museum, with quick service at a moment’s notice. Lastly, with client permission, we ordered a dedicated stock of cylinders, locks, and key blanks for this property’s restricted system, ensuring quick turn-around time (avoiding the extensive lead times from the manufacturer for custom hardware).
