PROJECT PERFORMANCE

Cosmic Fischer was hired by Infinity Real Estate to replace (61) apartment entrance and stairwell doors at their Madison avenue building. The existing, older doors consisted of (27) different jamb measurements, requiring an exceedingly complex and specific measurement and cataloging process to ensure accuracy. We pre-configured all doors at our shop, including painting (dual color), smart lock installation, door-viewer, apartment number, and even pre-hung hinges. Each door was then carefully wrapped & crated for onsite delivery. We then arrived onsite and completed between 2-3 floors per day, removing and replacing each door, with no more than 30-minutes interruption to each tenant. The smart lock system by Latch provided each tenant the ability to use their cellphones instead of keys for apartment entry.

CLIENT ADVANTAGE

The client originally approached us with the intention of installing smart locks only but realized the advantage to having us replace all doors as well. We accomplished this by providing a package price that, all considered, was cheaper than the cost of having existing doors refinished, repainted, with upgraded hardware. We provided a more uniform, long-lasting, “factory” installation by incorporating all elements under a single contractor. Lastly, by having all major work done off-premise, we provided a hassle-free installation to the client, eliminating tenant frustrations, to boot.
